We have created forms that you can fill in electronically. You can save a copy to your computer and also email to LHA without printing it. Complete/start the form. Save a copy (Save As), maybe to your desktop.
 
When ready to submit:

Tree Removal Procedures

Use this Tree Removal Request Application if you are requesting a tree removal from your property. Here are the Tree Removal Policy and highlights (Want to Remove a Tree?). The Neighborhood Preservation Committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month, 7:30 p.m. at the Association office. Please call the office to be put on the agenda. A week prior to the meeting, submit your request.

PLAN TO:
  1. Review the LHA’s Tree Removal Policy in the tree removal request form.
  2. Contact the City of Oakland to obtain a permit to remove the tree.
  3. Complete the enclosed LHA form.
  4. It is helpful if you submit a photograph of the tree with your application.
  5. Inform your neighbors of your intention to remove a tree and solicit their comments in writing for the committee.
  6. Enclose with your application a $100.00 refundable planting fee for each tree proposed for removal.
  7. $100.00 refunded if tree is planted within 18 months of date of application. If tree is not replaced, $100.00 will be applied to LHA planting a tree in our neighborhood.

 

Application for Changes to Property

To remodel / change / tweak your property, such as fences, exterior walls, windows, landscaping, non-house structures, use this fillable Changes to Property application fillable. Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Construction Guidelines

Constructing an ADU requires LHA approval. Before you begin the design process, please review the ADU Guidelines for the list of design goals and required supporting documents. These guidelines were developed to help property owners remain in compliance with LHA’s Declaration of Restrictions.

LHA Neighbor Network (LNN)

New in 2017. Annual requirement for HOA to remind members that it is member responsibility to tell us of address, occupancy, and backup contact.
