In the 1930’s Mr. Edy started what became Dreyer’s Ice Cream. He lived on Carlston Avenue. His 5th Edy’s candy and ice cream store was on Lakeshore Avenue in 1932.
Rocky Road ice cream flavor was developed in Mr. Edy’s home on Carlston Avenue.
